About

My name’s Nathaniel Maloney, and I’m the artist behind Burton Craft Works. I work out of Northeast Ohio, creating original artwork using materials gathered from the woods—tree slices, bark, basswood, and more. I paint, burn, carve, and sculpt each piece by hand, turning raw natural elements into detailed scenes that tell a story.

This isn’t factory work or mass-produced art. It’s the kind of work that takes time—built from scratch, one layer at a time. A lot of it starts with a walk in the woods, a chainsaw or carving tool, and a rough idea. What comes out is shaped by years of experience, a love of nature, and a drive to make something real.

Every piece is different, and that’s the point. If you’re someone who values craftsmanship, detail, and the kind of work that still gets dirt under your nails, you’re in the right place.
